The Society of Cosmetic Chemists will host a new continuing education course entitled “Formulating Spa Products—It Takes More Than Rose Petals,” on March 25. Although “spa” has become one of the most overused and abused terms on retail cosmetic shelves as well as bathroom design, only a small fraction of American women have ever had a facial and few cosmetic chemists have ever formulated products for spa use.
